The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Design Contest WIN 4000 POINTS, 20$ AND MORE!I've wanted to hold a design contest for a long time now, and finally I've gathered enough points to do it

What I'm looking for:
Everything! Wolves, foxes, fennec foxes, ferrets, servals, bobcats, tigers, other big cats, small cats, deers, dragons, gryphons, dogs, birds, hybrids, original species.. bring it!
I'm leaving the details to your imagination, but here are some things I really like:
-White base color with black and red markings<33 (mostly on canines)
-Cute and fluffy things! No need to go all big eyes and oversized heads, but animals with fur. Creepy and slimy things just aren't my thing.. Still don't be afraid to make something dark/evil
-Anything tribal
-Native american stuff
-Feathers!
-Tawny, golden, brown, white, red, blue, cyan, gray, black (well, not all combined)
-I like more natural base colors, but with smaller markings in unnatural colors like blue or red
-Long tails, big/long

Callibrate your Wacom tutorialHad you finally made the transition from intuos 3 to intuos 4?, or Are you rich to change into an intuos 5? Had you made the transition from a first generation cintiq to the new ones?. More levels of pressure will mean more quality to the paintings, am i right?.
Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?
Did you ever thought that painter its hard to handle with new tablet? Too much pressure? If it has more pressure why i cant control more easier the beggining of the stroke which is more crucial?.

So I totally failed at updating my journal more than once a year. So sue me

So what's new with me?

I've started playing tabletop RPGs - can't believe I haven't done so earlier, I have a really good time doing it.   Currently I'm still in my first Dungeons & Dragons 3.5 edition campaign, where I'm playing two characters (due to our number of players being reduced to two) - a half-elf ranger named Sogen and his estranged twin sister Serra, a cleric/fighter.   (The backstory there is a bit complicated)

Also, I've tried my hand at GMing a Pathfinder game or two, but I'm having trouble finding days when all my players can get together so things are on hold for now.   Oh, well, c'est la vie.

I haven't been in an artistic mood for quite a while, and I haven't drawn anything that I feel is good enough to post until recently.   If I get more done, it'll show up here whenever.

It's been a while. I didn't know u played DnD. I don't myself but I am now in a Star Trek play by email RPG and that's pretty absorbing the way I hear DnD is.

Hey ever heard of Blender? I've been getting into 3D art now, doing some plane designs like I used to in HS lol.

Hi, good to hear from you again.

Yeah, I've played around with Blender a bit on and off, it's a pretty complex program but it works pretty well once you know what you're doing. I haven't done much serious stuff with it, though, mostly just playing around.
